Matt’s role at Lands End Development is working with the customer. From the very first call to the very last call, you’ll be talking with Matt!! Of course, you’ll also be working with the others as well, but Matt is active in the entire process side by side with the customer. In addition to the sales, Matt is in charge of all marketing for Lands End Development. Matt holds his Real Estate license to help Lands End and their clients acquire and sell property.

Like his brother Jeff, Matt is also a lakes area native growing up on Lake O’Brien in Crosslake MN. He attended The University of Minnesota-Duluth for two years before graduating from St. Scholastica with a bachelor degree in Management. Matt also received his pilot certificate in 1994. After college, Matt and Jeff started Lonesome Cottage Furniture in Pequot Lakes. Starting with almost nothing, and while living in their mother’s loft at O’Brien Lake, they grew the business to be the largest rustic furniture manufacturer in the Midwest. Matt is extremely proud of his accomplishments at Lonesome Cottage.

Matt and his wife Renae have two children, daughter Sydney and son Wyatt, and two dogs, Abby and Sasha. In addition to spending as much time as possible with his family, his hobbies include spending time on the lake, photography, traveling and flying.
